CATAWATER® rapidly increases Dissolved Oxygen (DO),
with DO elevations measureable within hours. CATAWATER™ accelerates and/or re-establishes aerobic activity over anaerobic activity, resulting in major solids reduction without the need for aerators. CATAWATER® adjusts and maintains optimum DO levels… The USA EPA states that maintaining correct DO levels can reduce plant energy costs by as much as 50%. In many cases, energy costs are in excess of 50% of the total operating costs.
Anaerobic activity inherently generates the dangers and odors of Hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S). CATAWATER®’s establishment of aerobic activity provides safe and rapid reduction of H2S dangers.
CATAWATER® has the ability to adapt to new substrates
due to changes in flow or industrial loading into the wastewater treatment plant, eliminating the need and cost of additional microbial and enzymatic products engineered specifically for a particular waste stream and thus rendered ineffective if the substrate changes.
CATAWATER® processes both soluble and insoluble BOD
components, reducing polymer usage, hauling fees, and dangerous chemical handling. Traditional chemical treatments only impact the insoluble components of BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand). It is often necessary to add a chemical oxidant, such as Hydrogen peroxide or Ferric chloride, to reduce soluble BOD components.
CATAWATER® rapidly accelerates the rates of oxidation
of pollutants, presenting a rapid, cost effective way to eliminate a number of wastewater treatment problems that are traditionally solved with expensive capital enhancements, including increasing plant capacity.
CATAWATER® is particularly well suited for FOG content
